Highly commended photograph by Paul Colley called ‘Hello Ducky.
This is one of the shortlisted photos from the always fabulous British Wildlife Photography Awards. It rains a lot over there, and as such, British photographers have a range of good-looking wetlands they can stalk wildlife through, getting thoroughly damp and muddy in the process, no doubt.
The duck and fish above are one great example of animals that rely on wetlands for their livelihoods. Have a look at some of the other prize-winners, and see if you can find some inspiration for your wetland-themed poems!
